I’m Ahmad AlShaer the founder of Gazablanka.

A chef, Artist, influencer and a dreamer.
I studied Business and administration, IT, Multimedia without finishing the degrees because of many challenges.

I was born in 1999 spending my life in Gaza without the ability to travel or know what the real world is like, the only connection between me and the real world was Internet, Gaza is a place where opportunities are scarce, and life is shaped by a constant fight for existence. With wars erupting every few years and annual escalations in between, survival was a daily battle under siege.

In late 2020, feeling the weight of the hardships around me, living in poverty and struggling with the lack of opportunities I decided to make one last attempt to create something meaningful.

I used $100 saved over the course of four years, holding on to that 1% of hope that kept me going. I knew I had to prove to myself that there’s always something that can be done, and giving up on life couldn’t be an option, no matter the odds.

With my passion for art, design, and a deep connection to Palestinian heritage, I launched Gazablanka. making it one of the first brands from Gaza to the world.

it was more than just a brand to me; it was a lifeline for my family and me.

Before I started, I knew if this venture didn’t succeed, my path forward would be uncertain. In a place like Gaza, I couldn’t imagine how anyone would willingly choose to live a life without hope.

With my birthday, February 24th, marking a personal turning point, I knew that this was the end of my attempts to cling to hope. It became the defining moment for my journey. Either make it or willingly give up.

Through hard work and persistence, Gazablanka survived until the events of Sheikh Jarrah, when Facebook (now Meta) shut down my store and limited the reach of Palestinian content. But even through these setbacks, I knew my fight wasn't over.

We are dedicated to providing a stylish range of cozy apparel that embodies both comfort and cultural pride. Founded in 2020 by Ahmad AlShaer in Gaza, our mission is to create clothing that not only meets the practical needs of warmth during cooler months but also serves as a canvas for individual expression. Our products are crafted from high-quality materials, ensuring durability and comfort.

At the heart of our brand is a vision born out of both tragedy and hope. For Ahmad and his five family members who lost everything in Gaza, this brand became a lifeline, a chance to rebuild, to dream again, and to create something meaningful out of the most difficult circumstances.

This journey is personal. Ahmad’s first job was at the largest restaurant in Gaza, a place that symbolized a new beginning. Sadly, that restaurant, along with the entire neighborhood, is now gone. Ahmad was also on the verge of graduating in June, only to see that dream fade when the university was destroyed. Despite these setbacks, the spirit of resilience lives on in this brand.

This brand is more than a business; it's a testament to overcoming adversity and making dreams a reality. We are here because, at some point, you just have to go for it. Why not? Now is the time to move forward, to rise above, and to share our journey with the world.
